I was asked to share my favourite sandwich recipe for a story that City Press iMag ran at the end of last year, featuring fellow bloggers and friends, Anel of the award winning blog  Life is a Zoo Biscuit, Thuli of Mzansi Style Cuisine and Matt of Curate This Space (now, Our Gathered Home).

I chose a grilled mackerel sandwich that reminded me of the ones they make fresh on the grill in Kadikoy, Istanbul, with onions, long chilli peppers and salad. My version used cucumber and pepper slices with pesto. 

Anel, my co-cover mate shared a recipe for beef sandwiches with her Mom’s mustard.
