Food Culture at Le Prince Maurice  – Ultimate Mauritius

#UltimateMauritius from Food and the Fabulous on Vimeo.

Last month I had the wonderful pleasure of visiting Constance Le Prince Maurice hotel on the East coast of Mauritius, delighted at being back on the island so soon. I had but two days on the #UltimateMauritius campaign, but throughly enjoyed every waking hour.

I chased the sunrise, visited the pastry chefs behind the scenes,  the chefs in the herb garden, the markets near and far to source ingredients,  and sipped on a cocktail by sunset (virgin, I was working after all) and indulged in lavish dinners around the resort.

I made this video to showcase a part of the food culture at the hotel. The beaches are pristine, the water warm and the the staff extremely gracious, but don’t forget that Mauritius is an island of multi-cultural influence and the French, Indian and Creole flavours translate so well on the plate. Bon Appetit!
