Sprawled across a dusty plot along the R27 in Paarden Eiland, a mish mash of gazebos, vehicles and trailers order themselves in rows displaying objects of the sort that reflect an organised chaos- the Milnerton Flea Market has been in existence for over 15 years. Often the scene of throngs of Cape Town's beautiful people - the hipsters in stovepipes and fedoras, the organic free-range squad and the bare foot cooks seeking artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, the Neighourgoods Market recently won Eat In's award for Best Market in it's region.
You're invited to join Eat In for their fourth annual produce awards (the Best in Local Produce) on Thursday 17 March at the Old Biscuit Mill. The awards are open to the public for the first time and entry is free of charge!
